Salt bath maintenance involves timed scooping, siphoning the bottom, scrubbing the walls/floor, and importantly, maintaining the resort's water chemistry (pH, organic matter) at a reasonable level (pH 7.2-7.6, maintained at 1-3 ppm). Filters are also cleaned, and shock chlorine is administered weekly to eliminate accumulated germs. Frequently used pools should be cleaned daily or every 2-3 days.
